Galleries in Chengdu

A4 Art Museum is an independent contemporary art space in Chengdu's Luxe Hills district, known for its focus on emerging Chinese artists and experimental multimedia installations. It hosts the biannual iSTART children's art festival.

Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum (MoCA Chengdu) is a 70,000-square-meter art space designed by Tadao Ando-trained architects, featuring rotating exhibitions of Chinese and international contemporary art.

Designed by Kengo Kuma, the Zhi Art Museum sits within the Luxelakes ecological township south-west of Chengdu. The waterside building uses layered timber screens to filter natural light into serene exhibition halls.

D-Art Chengdu is an artist-run space in a converted warehouse near the Wuhou Shrine area. The gallery focuses on emerging Chinese artists working across painting, sculpture and mixed media, with rotating exhibitions that change monthly.
